FIRST TEST DAY WAS PRODUCTIVE FOR LUCAS IN SPAIN
Lucas Di Grassi held this Tuesday (16/10) the first of three days of collective tests provided for by Formula E as the last action before the opening stage of the 2018/2019 championship season, in Saudi Arabia, on the 15th from December. The first day saw the two drivers of the Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler on the track with the e-tron FE05 model, the second generation of the car in the category. “It was a good day of hard work and equally productive. We got fourth and fifth place, but that's not the most important. The main thing is to test everything and have the two cars ready for our debut, in two months' time”, summed up the Brazilian, the biggest name in the history of Formula E, who shared the box with teammate Daniel Abt.
The tests are carried out at the Autodromo Ricardo Tormo, in Valencia (Spain). “The track is very different from the ones we use in F-E, but the important thing is that it offers a good testing ground to check everything in the car, from the drivetrain to the suspension and aerodynamic adjustments”, said Lucas. “On this first day, the new e-tron did very well and did not present any relevant problems. We think it was a great start. And there's more tomorrow, ”continued the Brazilian.
Due to his commitments to Formula E, Lucas will not be in Brazil next weekend, when the double round will be played of Londrina's Stock Car. “It is a pity that this is going to happen. Besides the fact that we really wanted to compete in the race, we were sure that we would be competitive, as we won a race there a few months ago. But I am sure that my team, Hero Motorsport, will achieve other great results. Although I'm in Europe working at F-E, I'll be following them a lot and rooting for them a lot”, concluded Lucas Di Grassi.
