The pursuit continues in Paris

After finishing second in Monaco only 0,3 secs behind his title rival, Lucas di Grassi hopes to repeat his last year victory in the heart of the Frech capital

It is one of the absolute highlights of the season. On Saturday (May 20th), Formula E will hold a race in the centre of Paris. The track overlooking the Eiffel Tower leads around the famous Dôme des Invalides. ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport driver Lucas di Grassi heads to the French capital in hot pursuit, having last year provided a sensational victory at the première.

In the third season, Sébastien Buemi and Lucas di Grassi are the protagonists of the electro Racing series title fight once again. With four victories, the Swiss from the Renault factory team leads the table 15 points ahead of the Brazilian, with one victory and three podiums. Last year, Di Grassi managed to steal the show at the Renault home round by winning the race.

What about this year? “Our aim is to fight for a place on the podium and, if possible, the biggest trophy as well”, says Lucas. “The memories from the victory and above all the special atmosphere from last year are still fresh in my mind. The event in the heart of the city is gigantic. Last time out I even saw so many people waving from their living rooms and balconies on my cool-down lap, that’s how close we are to the fans”, he explained.

About Monaco, Lucas thinks his ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport Team was able to challenge for the victory. “We had a really quick car in Monaco, with which we definitely could have won. Unfortunately, there was no chance to attack all the way up to the finish line”, Di Grassi told.
