Di Grassi returns to the scene of his first Formula Renault victory, in 2002, when he started competing with cars
Lucas Di Grassi is at the Ayrton Senna International Autodrome in Londrina (PR) for the fourth round of Brazilian Stock Car Series this weekend. This Friday (04/05) the championship contenders worked the cars during the first official free practice sessions. The day was deemed as very positive by the current Formula E world champion, who returned to the Southern Brazilian track after 16 years. Lucas got a good pace in the activity and led a considerable part of the Group 1 practice.
“It’s nice to be back in Londrina because it was here that I won my first car race in the Brazilian Formula Renault Championship, back in 2002. Here in Londrina the Hero Motorsport team is in good shape, I’m very happy with the performance of the car and I think we can fight for the podium in both races on Sunday, “said Di Grassi. “But I consider myself practically a beginner on this track, because I do not remember whatever details from it. So technically I will have to learn it all back. So it’s like a debut”, added Di Grassi.
