Brazilian was thrown off the track at the last corner before the chequered flag
After another difficult qualifying session, Lucas Di Grassi started this Saturday from the 17th position on the grid to finish again in the points, when he obtained the tenth place in the seventh round of the Formula E World Championship. Held in Monaco, the race saw the 2017 champion perform several overtaking maneuvers until being thrown off the track at the last corner before the flag, when he was in eighth place, dropping to tenth at the end of the race.
“After a very difficult qualifying session, we started in 17th and managed to reach the points again. And I was also thrown out on the last corner. So I’m really happy with the performance of the car. We were very fast in the race, ”said Lucas. “We just need to work a little more on our performance in the qualy session so we can start a little ahead on the grid. And then we will fight for podiums and victories again. There is still half of the championship ahead of us and we will not give up ”, added the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team driver.
The victory in Monaco was conquered by Portuguese António Félix da Costa, of the DS Techeetah team. The next World Cup races are scheduled for June 19 and 20, in Puebla, Mexico.
